WHAT WE DO

covid-19 Vaccination, testing & screening

Umoja Health is actively supporting community-based vaccination, testing, and information platforms in Alameda, San Francisco, and San Mateo counties. In Alameda County and San Francisco, Umoja Health is also positioned to screen clients for cardiovascular risk, diabetes, and colon cancer.

Information & communications

Fighting misinformation and providing informed communications about the contours of the COVID-19 pandemic has been a foundation for Umoja. In Alameda, San Francisco, and San Mateo counties, Umoja partners attend weekly zoom calls for community stakeholders to provide updates and answers questions. The call materials are provided to the network including recordings on the Umoja Health website.

Workforce development

A key to Umoja Health’s mission is strengthening and diversifying the pipeline of health care and public health workers of the future. We plan to build on the foundation of knowledge that so many of our volunteers acquired during the pandemic for further training. Consider joining the Umoja Health youth mobilizers in Alameda County, San Francisco or San Mateo.
